GARFIELD 12U TO ORGANIZE CANNED FOOD DRIVE
This weekend Garfield 12U kicked off a month long food drive to collect various food and non-food products to donate to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. The regional relief organization distributes donations to over 1,000 different programs and organization, including Garfield Heights (GH) City Schools, GH Senior Center, GH Human Development Co., C.A.P. Adult Family Homes, and Cirque du Kids Childcare all located in Garfield Heights.
Garfield 12U invites all teams, families and fans to contribute to this effort by bringing items to the Dan Kostel Recreation Center now until February 16th. Food items of greatest need include: peanut butter, canned soup, canned vegetables, cereal, canned tuna and beef stew. Non-food items of greatest need include: deodorant, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
